This book was a fascinating read of epic proportion! Lex give a very cool and wicked twist to the classic children's fairy tales, namely Snow White, The Huntsman, and Sleeping Beauty. Where all the re-encarnated princessses are guys. There will be no mome spoilers. I have already hinted enough. That was quite refreshing to me. The fascinating parts was the setting of the story is all over the United States. There are all sort of elements put into this story: Drama, action, intrigue, suspense, hope, loss, redemption, etc. There were interesting happenings in every chapters. It was definitely a "on the edge of your seat page turner" In my opinion , it would be a blockbuster if it make into a movie. It could rival The Lords of the Ring, but set in modern time. Lex is definitely a great story teller. I hope there will be a second installment to this book. In the mean time, I will definitely check out her other works.Product details

Fun retake on classical fairytales!! Definitely worth the read. It's funny, captivating, hot where it needs to be hot, and downright fantastic!
Mash up every single fairytale you grew up with, stretch it out, bake it, and shatter it into its sized pieces. That's how I felt entering this crazy modern day world where "Enchants" live among the "mundane;" where princesses and are reincarnated regardless of gender; and where true love still conquers all. At least for a little while until the evil Witchking returns.
This book was so good..
It was so different from anything I have read before. Taylor is a princess who has no idea which one he is.. Oh and he is a man! I loved the comedy in this book! Taylor runs from his wedding which was supposed to be to a prince in a woman's body. That is when he meets Corentin who is a huntsman but also is so much more, which I cant say without giving away any spoilers.
There was so much action in this book and secrets that I was on the edge of my seat until I finished because I could not put this book down! Also the sweet and steam between these two was perfect.
I really loved this world the author created and the pretense of this book was awesome!
Oh and the ending was so good when he finds out everything! You get to also meet so many characters in this book. The ones you will love and the ones you thought were good then they show you their true self.
All together I really loved this book!
I would definitely recommend this book!

"This has by far been my favorite book to read!
Very creative. Love how the author used fairy tale folklore and set the book in contemporary time period. The use of Americana was a fun twist on their adventure. The only negative I have is that it took so long for the two of them to get their act together that we had only a little at the end where they actually were a couple. I would have liked a bit more on that aspect, but I understand why Lex wrote it the way she did for the plot to work.
Lex brought her world to life very well. My only negative was that I would have liked a bit more interaction with the various locations they traveled. There were very detailed scenes for some and glossed over info for others. A better balance might have made the whole book that much better.
The main and supporting characters were all very identifiable and had dynamic personalities. At times I felt really bad for the brother and other I wanted to beat him senseless. I guess that means he was written well ) The fairy godfather was really funny and added a great dynamic to the two primary characters relationship. The huntsman and the princess had well developed back stories that flowed well with the rest of the book. Their growth both as individuals and as a couple built throughout and culminated in a way that left the reader wanting to see more of them together.
Well written. The language was appropriate to the style. flowed smoothly and the pace was maintained to keep the reader interested."

I love this book. The characters are fantastic, the plot entertaining and just the nuances to make classic princess into princes and all of the other fairy tale aspects were superb. This was only of my favorite reads from the last year.
A whole new spin on the land of "Enchant", fun and quirky, but strangely very enjoyable.....I just hope that there is a book 2 to follow.
